As a personal trainer, my main role is to motivate real change. In order to achieve this, I need to help my clients understand why they need to get fit and strong and eat foods that nourish them, which means I need to stay current with real research being done, like the role of hormones on blood-sugar levels. When my clients understand these driving forces, they can achieve real results – not weight loss but a lasting change to a healthier lifestyle. This is why engaging with science and mathematics in the real world is so exciting and rewarding.
