When beginning my career, I was given the impression that science was about the individual and their achievements. But I have been pleasantly surprised to learn that this is not the only path to success. I now have the privilege of working with highly successful people who share a common goal, and provide each other fantastic company, support, advice, and entertainment. My advice to girls, women, or anyone getting started in science, is to find yourself good mentors, collaborators, and teammates, and dedicate your time and energy to the people, and projects, that feel good.
