I teach STEM… But I was surprised to discover that it is the smallest part of my role.
I step into class each day knowing I am not teaching to the definition of STEM. Instead, I use STEM as a tool to teach resilience, communication, creativity, ingenuity, critical thinking, teamwork, how to form an opinion, and the beauty in failure.
Then I leave my classroom each day knowing that these entrepreneurial, inspiring thinkers and leaders of the next generation are developing skills and ideas that will create a better, safer, more unified and creative future for us all.
