A great teacher in my last year of high school inspired me to study physics. I enjoyed my studies and, near the end, I really enjoyed using Matlab despite absolutely despising it when we started learning how to use it. Then my love of nature and animals led me to study marine science. Since then, it has actually been the programming skills that have allowed me to make more important contributions to the research projects I have been part of, and also given me some of the most enjoyable times (and I got to hang out with whales and dolphins!).
